I often analyse cross-functional processes and systems to identify potential improvements and to find and harness synergies. Change management is a key part in this. As a hardware developer specializing in semiconductor testing devices, I have twice the fun at Advantest. My journey at Advantest began with a Dual Study Program that I successfully completed in 2014. I then joined the layout team in the hardware development department. I took on smaller projects at first, then increasingly large ones, with a focus on circuit-board layouts – allowing me to make my work more professional. I am currently combining work with completing my Master’s, and Advantest again supported me with this step. At the moment, I am about to begin my thesis – I am curious to see where my path takes me from here.

Hardware development for high-end test devices
Our goal is to go to the very limits of what is physically feasible. We are about leading-edge ASIC FPGA and hardware design – from the initial idea to the market-ready release. We consider multiple factors: highly complex structures and rich functionality, but also device versatility and pricing. Our RF and analog design work creates equipment that will empower and safeguard emerging communications technologies, such as 5G – while ourselves using state-of-the-art solutions. Our motivation? Knowing that the leading high-end test devices we develop will be crucial to the reliable implementation of ground-breaking systems such as 5G and autonomous driving.
Supply Chain Management & Business Intelligence
We strive to gain a lasting competitive advantage through innovation and continuous improvement of our global supply chain. The overriding priority is highly professional production and supplier management, including effective control of our outsourced supply chain. As a cross-functional international team, we are responsible for diverse tasks, including business intelligence (end-to-end visibility), e-commerce, cloud solutions, product engineering, product lifecycle management, quality assurance and our ecological footprint – plus strategic sourcing, trade compliance (import/export) and strategic planning. Our motivation? Knowing that our work ensures that our products work exactly as they should. And that the efficient, cost-effective and sustainable supply of our products means satisfied customers in all four corners of the globe.
Collaboration with international customers
Our goal is to work hand-in-glove with our customers – leading players in the semiconductor industry – to design and build robust, high-performance answers to their imperatives. To this end, our application engineers, product definition experts and our Center of Expertise advise and assist our customers, supporting them across the entire project lifecycle. Our motivation? Knowing that we proactively support our customers with their efforts to successfully realize their technological innovations.
